Belmondo: Organic Natural Skincare

Belmondo (Italian for beautiful world) is a natural skincare line created by Daniela Belmondo. The products are natural, organic and sourced from fair trade ingredients. The line was created with the intention of sharing the natural properties of olive oil, organic olive oil from Italy that is. Ingredients like lavender, rose, apple cider vinegar and jojoba are used. Handcrafted and made in small batches, the products checked all the right boxes; organic, ethically produced, cruelty free and superb branding.

Vintage record of the day: Elton John's Caribou

Caribou is the 8th studio album by British singer/songwriter Elton John, released in 1974. It was John's 4th chart-topping album in the U.S. and his 3rd in the U.K. The album contains the singles, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", which reached #16 in the UK Singles Chart and #2 in the U.S., and "The Bitch Is Back", which reached #15 in the U.K. and #4 in the U.S. (Wikipedia)

I'm loving how he looks, especially on the back.

Review: Mrs Meyer's

In my ever lasting pursuit of finding organic & earth friendly beauty products, I came across Mrs Meyer's a few days ago in a restaurant bathroom, where they had several candles and liquid hand soaps making the place smell utterly divine. In their own words, Mrs Meyer's sell "Earth-friendly cleaners, baby products and laundry supplies made with essential oils, biodegradable and phosphate-free".

I went ahead and ordered liquid hand soaps, soy candles and dryer sheets in Lemon Verbena and Geranium. The candles are as good as Henri Bendel's coveted ones. Their smell lingered long after I blew them out.

The liquid soaps are clear, and rather soapy. They are very moisturizing and smell great.

Dryer sheets were a new concept to me :gasp: you basically put a sheet in when you dry your clothes in the machine (yes as the name implies) and they leave a lovely aroma on your clothes. Much better than using fabric softener in my opinion.

Mrs Meyer's products smell fab, are greatly priced and good for the earth. What's not to love? Buy them here

They have free shipping a few days this week. Enjoy!

Irina Werning - Back to the future

Irina Werning has created a really interesting series called "Back to the future". Werning reenacted the subjects' childhood photos in their current image today. Details and props are strikingly accurate, and the series manage to produce a time-machine effect, taking us through several years of a person's life in a single diptych.
